introduction | ethyl titanate is colorless or light yellow oily liquid with a refractive index of 1.5082(25 ℃). Soluble in ethanol and benzene, easily decomposed in water. It can be used for organic synthesis, transesterification, enhancing the adhesion of rubber and plastic on metal surfaces, and can also be used as a thermal additive for coatings. |
application | titanium tetraethoxide, as an important catalyst and organic synthesis intermediate, has a wide range of applications in laboratory and industrial-grade organic and inorganic synthesis, rubber, textile, coatings and many other fields. |
use | heat-resistant additive for transesterification reaction and coating. Used as a high-purity reagent Used as a catalyst for transesterification reaction. Used for organic synthesis and transesterification to enhance the adhesion of rubber and plastic on metal surfaces |
Production method | is obtained by the reaction of titanium tetrachloride and ethanol. Add benzene to the glass-lined reaction pot, cool to 20 ℃, add titanium tetrachloride, and the temperature shall not exceed 50 ℃. When the temperature drops below 15 ℃, ammonia will be started and controlled below 50 ℃ for about 2.5h. When the temperature drops to about 20 ℃ and the pH is 9-10, slowly pass ammonia, add water and absolute ethanol, and the temperature rises to 45-50 ℃ for about half an hour. Continue to pass ammonia for 1h until the pH is stable at 9-10. After stirring for 2 hours, leave for 24 hours, filter out the crystals, and rinse once with a small amount of benzene. The filtrate and the washing liquid are combined, and the benzene is recovered and then distilled under reduced pressure to obtain the finished product. |
